Built as a separate wing to the main house, the Macadamia Rainforest Suite is totally private, self-contained studio, with separate entry, relaxing verandah with barbeque, romantic canopy queen bed, kitchen, fireplace, and luxury bathroom with claw foot bath. The Macadamia Rainforest Suite has views of the forest from the dining room, verandah and bathroom.

Awake to a magnificent view through towering trees in the rainforest below. Relax on the verandah where native birds come to feed or warm yourself by a roaring fire with a glass of wine, a good book, and our complimentary port and chocolates.

Turkey's Nest is a wildlife refuge, registered under the Land for Wildlife scheme, and as such we cannot allow pets. Take a rainforest walk, stop at a local cafe, then back to your suite for a massage, reading a book, sipping wine, a romantic candlelit meal, port and chocolates - how much more relaxing can it get?

While Brisbane swelters in summer heat, Mount Glorious 620m above sea level and surrounded by D'Aguilar National Park is pleasantly cool be sure to bring a jumper, as temperatures average 6 degrees less than Brisbane at all times. On chilly winter nights, as mists waft through the forest, relax by a cosy fireplace, where you'll find a CD player and range of CDs, ipod docking station, a selection of books and games, complimentary port and home-made chocolates, before retiring to a bed warmed by an electric blanket.

A short stroll to the tranquil village of Mt. Glorious offers bushwalking in the rainforest of D'Aguilar National Park, three cafes, a quality restaurant with stunning views over the valley below, and a unique sculpture garden.

We provide all the comforts for a romantic stay, including electric blankets for those chilly winter nights, port and chocolates, fresh flowers, music, cosy fireplace and a selection of books and games.

To extend your stay, we may be able to provide early check-in or late check-out subject to other bookings.

The Macadamia Suite is a popular honeymoon venue for the many couples who get married at Mount Glorious.

At Turkeys Nest we aim to minimise our impact on the environment. Our house and cottages have solar-assisted power. Environmentally friendly features include:

Reuse of timber milled on site for floors, bench tops, wall linings, etc
Use of recycled materials wherever possible.

Using zero or low VOC paints and finishes on all new internal surfaces
Being able to offer our guests homegrown produce whenever possible
Buying Fair Trade goods, which offer a better deal to farmers in the developing world.
Maximum recycling of household waste including composting.
