Alpenhorn Lodge

Alpenhorn Lodge is located in the beautiful Kosciuszko National Park. We sit comfortably elevated to take in the beautiful views of Thredbo Village, and enjoy the mountain and valley outlook.

Most visitors to Thredbo come to enjoy the awesome skiing and snowboarding during the winter months, however there is plenty to do year round, with bushwalking/hiking to the top of Australia's highest mountain (Mt. Kosciuszko) as well as the numerous trails elsewhere in the Village and the National Park.

Mountain biking is becoming more and more popular each summer with new trails constantly being developed, including the new "All Mountain Trail" and the Thredbo Valley Trail which winds along the valley and the Thredbo river for over 20km's.

There's also our 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, Thredbo Leisure centre with 50m Olympic size pool, water slide for kids, squash courts, indoor gymnasium and trampoline arena.

A bike pump track for all ages, skate park, tennis courts and playground are available at the Village Green. Free BBQ's by the river are perfect in summer to cook up a fresh catch if fishing is your preference with plenty of amazing places to land "the big one".

Restaurants, cafes and retail shopping are available year round, with the local pub (the affectionately known "bisty") a newsagent, local bakery and supermarket as some of the necessary features of the village!

The chairlift operates year round to ensure you can capture the amazing view of the Snowy Mountains, and enjoy all the area has to offer.

At Alpenhorn Lodge friendly staff set the scene for an enjoyable, affordable holiday staying in the heart of the village. Summer or winter, they happily cater for all guests in a variety of rooms whether you are a solo traveller, couple, family or a special interest group.

Alpenhorn's rooms provide a warm and comfortable retreat at the end of the day offering private en suites, clock radio, reading lamps, flat screen LCD television, bar fridge and hair dryers.

During winter, relax in the guest lounges and enjoy dining at the licensed Thai cuisine restaurant, which provides some of Thredbo's best value dining. Drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) can be enjoyed in either of the two lounges.

Guest change facilities and luggage storage are available on arrival and departure days in winter, enabling you to extend your skiing time in the resort. During summer, bike storage is provided so you can enjoy the thrill of downhill on wheels.

Alpenhorn Lodge happily caters for all guests, in a variety of rooms catering for up to six persons. So, whether you are a solo traveller, couple, family or special interest group, they have rooms suitable for you. Their rooms provide a warm and comfortable retreat at the end of the day.

All double or twin rooms have en suites, clock radios, television, in-house videos, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers

Triple Rooms
Triple rooms are ideal for a couple and child or three singles. Triple rooms have en suites, clock radios, television, in-house videos, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers.

Family Rooms
All family rooms have en suites, television, in-house videos, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers and can sleep between 4 and 5 guests per room (Max 4 adults).

Self Catering Apartments @ Squatters Run
We also manage self catering, fully equipped apartments for two to six people that are available year round, located approx. 150m from Alpenhorn Lodge.
