Just 178 Km from Adelaide, Country bakehouse Accommodation is centrally positioned between Clare, Burra & Jamestown. We provide an ideal venue for day trips to wineries in the Clare Valley, visits to the historic mining town of Burra, & further North to towns in the lower Flinders Ranges.

Easy to find in the Main Street of Spalding, opposite the Spalding Hotel, we are a perfect base for walkers & bike riders on the Heysen & Mawson Trails. Spalding is a quiet town with a central Park, playground, Sporting Complex & an Olympic sized swimming pool open in Summer.

We have our own Broughton River at Spalding and a free Permit for trout fishing is included in the tariff. The Bundaleer Reservoir is approx 6 km from Country bakehouse & has recently been opened for visitors & fishing. Gov. Permits are offered online.

THIRD BEDROOM IN ATTACHED SHOP:
Our 1909 bakehouse residence has an attached shop area which was originally the Spalding Country Baker's shop. This area can be used for families with teen children or for walkers or bike riders on the Heysen Trail where each adult requires a separate bed. We call it our Nostalgic room as it is filled with interesting antiques and reading books for your leisure. The original baker's cookhouse and wood fired oven is attached to this room. We have a queen bed and two singles in our Nostalgic Room.. This area added to the residence provides bedding for six or more adults requiring a group booking. Fishermen can also use this room for Australian Fly Fishing Competitions.

TWO BEDROOM RESIDENCE AND ATTACHED SHOP:
Two bedroom residence with two queen size beds and one double sofa bed in the lounge. There is a nostalgia retreat in the bakehouse shop area with a queen size and single bed to accommodate group and family bookings.

Two families of four can be accommodated at the Country Bakehouse. The residence has one bathroom with a shower, deep bath and two separate toilets. Facilities include a large digital plasma television with satellite channels. DVDs, CDs, books and magazines are provided.

Breakfast provisions are supplied in the country 1960s kitchen which opens on to the pergola and barbecue area. Country Bakehouse provides privacy and security with a fully enclosed garden area at the back and a courtyard and verandah at the front of the residence.
