ACCOMMODATION TIPS:
Your accommodation on Kangaroo Island is centrally located, choice of BnB or accommodation only.
Local shopping is 15 - 20 minutes away by a motor vehicle at Parndana so you should bring all your required food and other supplies with you.
When driving on Kangaroo Island at dusk and at night you may encounter wildlife like kangaroos, and wallabies crossing the road in front of you while you are driving. It is advisable to keep your speed to 80 km or slower which will assist you to avoid a collision with the local wildlife and possible vehicle damage.
If possible it is best to avoid driving at night.
Phone: Coverage on Kangaroo Island is best with Telstra and some other providers cover the main towns. Parts of Kangaroo Island do not have mobile phone coverage.
Fuel: It is best to keep at least 1/2 a tank or more as fuel is only available in the main towns. Kingscote has fuel and gas available. Parndana is petrol only.
