Nine bedroom private Balinese-style resort
The Tamarind House at Bangsaray is a secluded treasure tucked away in the foothills of Kao Krating and surrounded by tropical countryside. With a Balinese design and individually themed rooms throughout the entire property, as well as a private floodlit tennis court, comfortable Salas, centre-piece swimming pool, cinema room, a team of staff to cater for your every whim, and a separate communal clubhouse, you'll feel as though you've been swept up to heaven.

Stay for 7 nights and get complimentary airport transfers, one-way or two-way depending on the number of guests (one-way with 13-seat minibus or two-way for 4-seat Fortuner).
Butler available from 7 AM until 10 PM; after 10 PM the charge is 100 THB per hour, per butler.
Three vehicles with driver available 24/7 for the guests: Toyota Vigo, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Commuter (excludes fuel, charged per kilometre).
Nanny available for 600 THB per day (8 AM 6 PM); after 6 PM the charge is 100 THB per hour, per nanny.
Extra guest can stay for 1500 THB per night (maximum two extra guests).
Chef available for 100 THB per guest (breakfast and lunch) and 150 THB per guest (dinner). Food charged according to receipts (no add-ons).


Pool Villas
The Pool villas have high pitch vaulted ceilings, flat-screen TVs, wireless internet and Bose surround sound music systems. They also provide direct access to the pool, so you can have a nice cool dip whenever you wish.

Zen
This Zen-like villa is suitable for two guests. It has a built-in king size bed and silver silk cushions with a Burmese rattan-lined ceiling overhead and subtle lighting. The en suite bathroom has stone features and a Zen-style sand and rock garden, providing perfect tranquillity with Japanese aesthetics.

Java
This Indonesian-themed room has all sorts of artefacts and antiques from the region. There are two Mahogany twin beds with hand-carved bedside lamps, and a hand-painted Madura panel. The en suite bathroom has a serene garden bath, surrounded by traditional carvings that will keep your mind in a state of wonder as you relax.

Africa
This exotic bedroom has sold teak twin beds covered with animal skins and mosquito net drapes. Traditional African shields and spears adorn the walls and there is a free-standing copper bathtub next to the open-air shower, so you can look up at the stars as you relax and freshen up.

White
This bright room has an antique-bleached Javanese teak box bed, with hand embodied white cushions and white cotton drapes. It also has a spacious balcony that overlooks the glistening pool.

Main House Bedrooms:
The architecture of the Main House consists of a mixture of Thai and Balinese designs. There are two floors with three bedroom/suite areas, the Lava Lounge containing a home cinema and TV, and the main kitchen. Apart from the dorm, all bedrooms include flat-screen TVs, DVD players and surround sound Bose entertainment systems.

Raj
The Raj room has a king-size bed and is located at the end of the wraparound deck terrace that overlooks the estate. Shiraz, Copper and aborigine coloured silks adorn this stunning room and the en suite bathroom has a glass covered roof and a hand carved bathtub, so you can count the stars as you soak up the atmosphere.

Rose
In order to get into the Rose suite you'll have to enter through a hand-carved white and gold-wash Balinese temple door. Within you'll find a beautiful plantation teak opium bed for two and an adjoining embodied armchair. The en suite bathroom has custard-cream stone floors and gold rubbed towel rails, creating a soft atmosphere for you to freshen up in.

The Dorm
The Dorm has four bunk beds, perfect for families with children. There is a real aquatic feel to it with turquoise and lime tones that contrast nicely with the wooden floors. There is an en suite bathroom with indoor shower and an outdoor garden shower for when you want to freshen up outside and enjoy a cool tropical breeze.

Bali House:
This self-contained villa comes equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchenette, and a spacious living area with 42-inch flat-screen TV, DVD player, Bose music system and satellite TV channels. The villa contains antique Indonesian furniture and Balinese temple doors. The main bedroom, labelled the Bali Queen, has a large teak bed, carved headboards and traditional woven wall hangings. The en suite bathroom has an indoor and outdoor shower, with natural stone flooring. In the Bali Twin room there are two mahogany beds, French doors that lead to a private balcony with fantastic views, and an en suite bathroom. The Bali House is perfect for families and couples.

Living areas and extras:
The Lava Lounge
The Lava Lounge is a cinema/TV room, within the main house. You can enjoy the movies and programs of your choice on the 62-inch plasma flat-screen whilst you sit on the elegant custom-designed Shiraz sofa. The lighting has been put in place to create that genuine cinematic feel and the acoustic ceiling creates optimum sound quality.

Salas and Lounges:
There are many Salas and lounges throughout the property. The Dining Pavilion is the main covered lounge area. It can house up to 24 people, and there is a rectangular solid teak dining table that can seat up to 16. Across from the Dining Pavilion, next to the pool, is the Spice Lounge, which is an open-air living room with cushions and pillows designed especially for your comfort. The Sunset Lounge is just as comfortable with an open roof-terrace that has an elevated vantage directly above the Dining Pavilion. With thick cushioned benches, it makes for the perfect spot to take in the peaceful, tropical environment.

The Tower:
This 18-meter-high watch tower reaches right up into the sky and looks out over the countryside and reservoir, as well as the ocean views in the distance. It truly is a unique feature in the region.

General Features:
The Water Garden really is a fascinating feature. It came together as a result of collaboration between a leading American architect and a Thai landscaper. It has appeared on the front cover of the Thai Home and Garden Magazine and is very well known. With colourful, exotic fish in the pond and cascading water features it really makes for a tranquil setting. Another unique and enjoyable feature at the Tamarind is the Massage Sala. You can enjoy a relaxing, therapeutic massage from the highly-trained therapist whenever you feel like it. Trust us; you'll be in good hands.

Sport and Leisure:
The Tamarind has all the sport and leisure facilities you could ask for including a private, floodlit tennis court, pool table and table tennis table as well as a fully equipped gymnasium and even a Boule Pit for those want to enjoy a famous French game that has been around for centuries. Tennis rackets and golf clubs are also provided.

Onsite Staff and Options:
The Tamarind has a friendly and reliable team of fully-trained staff, including cooks and cleaners and friendly guides who will organize any tour. The staff are always there to take your orders for meals or anything else. All of the vegetables are grown in their own allotments ensuring you'll get the highest quality organic produce around for your delicious meals.
