Two bedroom and Conference Cabins

We have 2 x 2 bedrooms cabins (Wallaby Grassland Cabin & Clifftop Cabin). If you require more than one cabin, please mention it on your booking request.

As an eco-retreat, we are very different from a city hotel. You will be surrounded by wildlife of all sorts, including birds, mammals, arthropods and reptiles. Our seclusion is protected by 4km of winding gravel road, steep in places. We have 12 volt solar electricity, gas cooking, composting toilets and wood fired heaters.

-- Wallaby Grassland Cabin --
A contemporary, spacious eco-cabin situated in an open Silver Wattle forest with outdoor space for children to play. Wallaby Grassland is a generous two-bedroom cabin with gas cooking facilities, kitchen, dining and lounge area, bathroom and separate toilet, wood heater, a large deck and upstairs balcony. Treat yourself to an outdoor bath under the stars in a private setting, just a short walk away on the edge of the forest.

Wallaby Grassland can sleep up to 8 people: the main bedroom has a queen-sized bed and double bunks, while the large upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed, two single beds and an optional trundle bed. This cabin can be reconfigured as a large open plan meeting space. With level access and wheel-in bathroom with grab rails, shower seat and raised toilet, Wallaby Grassland meets mobility disability standards.

-- Clifftop Cabin --
A contemporary, spacious eco-cabin perched high in its own private forest grove. Its huge deck takes advantage of lofty views of the surrounding forest and spectacular distant valley and mountain views.

Clifftop is a generous two-bedroom cabin with gas cooking facilities, kitchen, dining and lounge area, bathroom and separate toilet, wood heater, a large deck with a private outdoor bath. Clifftop is ideally suited for families, friends traveling together, staff retreats and small conferences. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom has queen-sized bed and set of bunks.

-- A True Retreat --
Huon Bush Retreats has been designed as a true retreat. Each self contained cabin is separate and private. Streamside and Clifftop cabins are totally secluded. All cabins are free from TV and other electrical appliances with the exception of the supplied compact disc player.

Electricity for lighting and supplied CD player comes from 12 volt solar power (as opposed to regular 240 volt which is in most homes). Composting toilets. Most mobile phones work well. USB outlets to charge small devices. Charging a camera or laptop, we can do so for you at reception with limited access.

We take environmental protection seriously. Our Green Tourism certification shows that we exceed best practice in all respects.
