Harry's Lookout

Nestled between the upper mountain villages of Leura and Katoomba, Harrys Lookout is ideally located for your mountain retreat. Enjoy a gentle, 12 - 15 minute stroll to Leura Mall and enjoy the many cafes and galleries, or stroll 10 minutes the other way, through parkland and across a stone bridge to all the attractions in Katoomba.

Harrys Lookout offers charming bush and district views to the rear and a filtered view of Mt Solitary and the Jamison Valley from the front veranda.
The world famous Three Sisters, Scenic Railway & Skyway, Leura Cascades and many lookouts from Cliff Drive are a short distance from your doorstep. The newly renovated Hydro Majestic hotel is only 5 minutes drive away at Medlow Bath where you can be spoilt with High Tea or silver service dinner.

Both Katoomba and Leura are surrounded by the Blue Mountains National Park -- part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. The back, bush garden at Harrys Lookout is a classified, Tree Preservation Area and we have kept this area as natural as possible to create a real mountains feel. When looking out from the back deck, you will feel you are living in the treetops.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:
If you require linen and towels to be provided, an additional fee of $25.00 per person (for the duration of your stay) applies to cover the cost of laundry. You are welcome to bring your own sheets, pillowcases and towels if you wish to avoid this extra fee. Please advise your bedding requirements when you book so we can advise our cleaner accordingly.

Harry's Lookout has been recently updated to include a new, self-contained studio downstairs. This additional facility increases the capacity to accommodate groups of up to 12 adults.

Harrys is ideal for couples, groups and families with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen & laundry. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two have queen size beds and the third has two single beds. There is also a double sofa bed in the upstairs living room for additional sleeping accommodation. The downstairs studio has a queen bed plus 2 x single beds as well as a fold-out sofa bed in the large rumpus room. There is also a kitchenette and bathroom downstairs.

You will be comfortable year round with the log fire, central gas heating, as well as reverse cycle air conditioning and all beds, are fitted with electric blankets.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all you will need to cook up a storm for up to 12 guests, just bring your food!!! There is a gas BBQ on the back deck where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful mountain sunsets.
In the evenings you can sit back, enjoy the fire, watch a movie from our extensive library of DVD's on the LCD flat screen TV, listen to some music and take in the magic of the mountains. The NBN WiFI system allows access to the internet for surfing, social media and email. The WIFI is free for our guests and the WIFI password is in the guest information book on site.

Harry's Lookout is pet-friendly with a fully enclosed bush-garden so your dog can also enjoy the weekend away.

Harrys Lookout has been set up to cater to both small groups and larger groups as the need arises. You may have an intimate couples weekend using only the upstairs areas or a large, family reunion or celebration by combining both the main house plus the fully self-contained, downstairs studio. Either way, whether you are a small or large group, you will love Harrys Lookout. We provide access to the downstairs studio to groups of 7 or more. if you are a smaller group and would like access to the downstairs area, this can be arranged but an additional cleaning charge will apply.

Rates displayed may not be valid for "off-peak & peak dates" or other "special events" periods (eg. concert events/length of stay, etc). Please make a booking request via Aabode.com to receive a quote.
*Please refer to the availability calendar for tariff rates. Base rates are for 1 x couple and the additional charge applies for additional guests. Children and well-behaved pets are welcome at 'Harrys Lookout'. Children under 12 years stay for half the adult rate. Children under 2 years stay free.

The kitchen pantry is stocked with useful condiments such as salt, pepper, some common spices, olive oil, tea, sugar, coffee etc. (A quantity of coffee pods are provided for the coffee machine, more pods can be purchased from Aldi in Katoomba if required). Tomato sauce and BBQ sauce are stored in the fridge. Gladwrap and cooking foils are stored in the kitchen drawers. We provide 2 x tea towels for your use (as well as bath mats and hand-towels for each of the bathrooms. Grocery supplies can be bought from Woolworths in Leura (corner of Megallong Rd and Leura Mall) or Woolworths at Katoomba (corner Waratah st and Katoomba St). An Aldi store is in Katoomba across the road from Woolworths on Waratah St.

There will be a small UHT milk in the fridge upon your arrival for making a cup of tea/ coffee
