We welcome you to The Romantice Hinterland Retreat nestled in the Tweed Coast Valley Hinterlandof North Tumbulgum,across the river from Tumbulgum Village.

A comfortable and welcoming one bedroom cottage over looking the pine forest, idealfor a romantic weekend, a writer's retreat or some where to simply relax and reconnect to nature.

Relax with a good book, or maybe write one yourself amidst the tranquil surrounds of this wonderfully picturesque setting. The cottage is clean, tidy and well-presented for your enjoyment. There is also an ADSL internet connection, a high-definition, flat-screen TV, a DVD player and a library of books.

Five minutes drive down through the rainforest brings you to the river village of Tumbulgum, with its general store, post office and colourful tavern. Or a 20-minute drive to Coolangatta Airport, Tweed Heads, or the great little art-house Cinemax Theatre and cafe precinct of Kingscliff Village, plus the smart restaurants and the Pepper and Mantra resorts at Salt Beach. There is an exceptionally fine vineyard within ten minutes drive, and the widely acclaimed Tweed River Regional Art Gallery just outside an other close township, Murwillumbah... also only twenty minutes dive away. Not to mention the Mount Warning caldera villages of Stokers Siding, with its pottery and Tyalgum with its highly regarded classical music festival. Then there's the Blues Festival at Easter, Splendour in the Grass in August and the Currumbin outdoor sculpture festival in October.

Fully furnished and self contained, it makes for a truly peaceful and restorative experience,it hardly needs mentioning all the magnificent beaches stretching from Coolangatta through Fingal Head, Kingscliff, Cabarita and Hastings Point...pristine white sands all the way to Byron Bay and beyond.

Linen is included excluding personal items such as soap, toilet paper, laundry powder etc. This is solely the guests responsibility. Departing guests must leave the property clean & tidy by 10am. This includes emptying the rubbish bin, washing and drying all dishes, emptying and cleaning of the refrigerator, oven/griller & microwave, cleaning of BBQ and out door entertaining area.
