A B&B for nature lovers.

Our B&B is on a private wetland reserve with its own walking track. We are only 10 minutes from Invercargill city and airport. We have a population of Matata NZ fernbird along with plenty of other N.Z birds. We only accept one booking which means you have the place to yourselves.

Rental accommodation is downstairs. Owners are upstairs.

NZ$170 couple includes guided walk on our property and breakfast for 2....extra person $90
NZ$160 single includes guided walk on our property and breakfast for 1....extra person $90

Our guest rooms are serviced daily. This is included in the room rate above. Our tariff also includes a guided nature walk on our property with a chance of seeing fernbirds.

Bushy Point Fernbirds has 3 guest rooms. We can take 2 couples or 3 singles. Our rooms do not have ensuites. The bathroom is located close to the bedrooms. We normally will only take 1 booking per day but there may be times you will be sharing a bathroom with other guests.

You may use our kitchen to prepare an evening meal. There are also 2 good restaurants within a few minutes’ drive
