Beautifully restored to the former glory of the 1920's and 1930's, Tarraleah Estate offers you a range of accommodation in the Tasmanian highlands AND the experience of stepping back in time to the 1930's.
THE BLUE HOUSE
Well you guessed it. Its Blue, and there was a distinct lack of imagination when we named this one! Fortunately, we were pretty imaginative when it came to designing it.
Perched on the edge of the escarpment with views of the Nive Valley and stretching back to Hobart this house is very modern in design while retaining its highland warmth.
The house sleeps 8 people across 5 bedrooms consisting of:
1 king room with ensuite
1 queen room upstairs with parents retreat
2 downstairs single bedrooms
1 downstairs queen bedroom
There is a full downstairs bathroom, open plan lounge room with kitchen and dining room and a large balcony looking over the escarpment. Includes modern heat pump heating.
Perfect for families or groups of friends.
Note:
1. We only take self-contained/self-catering bookings during May - October as the Highlander Arms is closed. You will need to bring all of your own provisions or request a meal pack in advance.
2. If you need something specific, best to mention it on your booking request notes or click "message owner" on Aabode's page.
Tarraleah currently has Telstra and Vodafone signal. There is no WiFi at Tarraleah.
The price displayed based on 2 guests - an extra guest/child is $15.00
Cots are available for a flat fee of $10.00 per cot per stay.

Pricing
Rates from 290 AUD to 315 AUD per night
- Check-in after: 2:00:00 PM
- Check-out before: 10:00:00 AM
- Up to 7 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental
- 7 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental.
We are a small property dependent on full occupancy. Our isolation means cancelled bookings often result in empty rooms. We charge 50% cancellation fees for booked accommodation and activities advised within 7 days of arrival and 100% within 72 hours. All cancellations of pre booked tours incur a cancellation fee of 100% .
We recommend that guests protect themselves with travel insurance.
