Bulwarra Accommodation is a unique way to see Rural Australia.
Enjoy our rustic home on top of Raymond Hill, in Dubbo, NSW for a peaceful experience. We promise we have the conveniences of home in our spacious studios.
You may see wild king parrots, kangaroos, kookaburras, kingfishers, echidnea or any number of other wild life which frequent the Hill.
Settle down after arriving or touring the area to a quiet drink on the 20 metre veranda or under the trees and enjoy our magnificent 360 degree views of rural Australia. We have a menagerie of domestic animals; cows, sheep, goats, cooks, dogs and cats or oodles of Australian native wildlife; birds, echidna, kangaroos, wallabies, owls, hawks and many, many other animals. The grounds are child friendly with feeding animals or just playing on the lawns. Children can pick their own vegetables for dinner while mum & dad enjoy the cool drink. The property is located approximately 12km (15min) from Dubbo, NSW, Australia up on Raymond Hill, which covers 11 hectares (approximately 30 acres). We are fortunate to 360° views. At night to the north we overlook the beautiful lights of Dubbo, on a clear night to the east we can see the glow of Geurie and Wellington. RV's are most welcome as our parking area is large. STUDIOS
The 3 studios are king-size rooms, containing a large ensuite (and description below) and an internal door between the Aqua Studio and both others if you wish. No linen required. All studios with full glass wall/doors leading out to the 20 metre veranda facing north and Dubbo:
1. HERITAGE STUDIO (red wall in photos on website) has a king bed, single bed with trundle and a pull out double sofa bed (children), sleeps 6 comfortably (up to 2 fold up bed could be added to sleep 8).
2. AQUA STUDIO (aqua wall in photos on website) has king bed, bunk beds and a pull out double sofa bed (children), sleeps 6 comfortably (up to 2 fold up bed could be added to sleep 8).
3. EARTH STUDIO (beige wall in photos on website) has a king bed & single bed, sleep 3 easily (up to 2 fold up bed could be added to sleep 5).
There are stairs off the veranda (table & chairs) to come to the garden, games room, alfresco area (wood pizza oven, BBQ, oven & open fire) main house (where I live) with communal fully equipped kitchen (gas plates) and formal lounge/dining room. The paddocks are rocky and uneven with many native grasses.

For you too self-cater, on the veranda off the studios, you have a 6 gas burner BBC and hutch with everything you might need (plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, bowls, platters, cooking utensils, wash basin, tea towels, drainer etc). At the bottom of the veranda stairs there is a hooded gas BBQ as well. There is also a heat bead Webber.
Should you need other equipment or want a small oven or gas stove top, there is the communal (shared) main house kitchen which is well stocked with everything I could imagine you could need to cook up a storm. In the alfresco area, there is a wood BBQ, stove, pizza oven, and open fire. The alfresco area is off the main house kitchen. There is also a lounge/dining room for guests use in the main house.
There are wonderful natural surrounds, including a lovely view of the Dubbo countryside and town in the distance, games room and animals (including dogs and native animals) and (chooks, sheep & cattle when available) for you to enjoy and relax in. The garden is littered with toys and equipment (trampoline, climbing frame, toy stove, digger, table tennis etc. to amuse the children, and allow the adults to sit up on the elevated veranda to enjoy a wonderful time of peace and enjoy drink or two in the natural surroundings.
Huge parking at the top of the driveway where you see large gate entrance and small walk-in gate.
Well behaved animals are welcome and outside accommodation is provided (approval by management).

All well behaved pet are welcome, usually $10 per night depending on the animal.
We do have farm and other animals in the house yard which contains the studios and house. Animals chasing our animals will NOT be tolerated. They need to be restrained. It is really up to your dog as to whether she/he needs to be restrained There is a fenced off yard that is available for you to contain your dog if need be.
I am happy to allow your dog to stay here while you are at the zoo if he/she is comfortable doing so.
Your animal's behaviour will define whether she/he sleeps inside or out and can get along with other animals. You would need to provide all bedding, meals and needs for your dog.
No children are to play in the paddocks with out an adult.
When you self-cater you need to clean up and leave the space in a reasonable condition for other guests to then use.
Consideration to other guests is a necessity at all hours.
Smokers are welcome. The veranda is at your door with plenty of comfortable chairs and ashtrays. I do hope you will be considerate to those non-smokers. There is also plenty of space to walk, enjoy the view and enjoy a cigarette.
Any, well behaved animal is welcome.
Dogs will be permitted on Bulwarra subject to the following conditions:-
a) Dogs must be leashed when requested.
b) Owner/handlers must clean up any dog droppings and place them in a plastic bag before disposal.
c) At the discretion of the management, any dog playing aggressive behaviour will be asked to muzzle dogs.
d) At the discretion of Management, the owner/handler of any dog that continually barks or where complaints of barking dogs have been made, then the owner/handler may be asked to remove the animal from Bulwarra.
e) At the discretion of management, an owner/handler who does not comply with the above conditions may be asked to leave Bulwarra

Some spaces are shared - Studios all enter onto the venadah and other spaces.
Amenity limitations - WiFi limited in studios due to fire proof walls. OK else where.
